At Artium Academy, we strive for musical excellence through academics to make our students great performers. And for this ultimate goal, we have created a brilliant online platform called “Artium Showcase”.
Artium Showcase allows our students to showcase their skills as performers and what they have learned to a live virtual audience. We have a musical infrastructure where we provide technical rehearsals to the students, and their final performances are analysed by our Chief of Pedagogy, Shri. Ananth Vaidyanathan–an extremely renowned face in the Indian music coaching world.
Post this Showcase experience, the best performers advance to the next level toward our Annual Mega Musical Event – “Artium Superstar” which is held in Mumbai. And judged by none other than Sonu Nigam ji, Aruna Sairam ji, Raju Singh ji, Louis Banks Sir, and many other industry stalwarts.

The Journey Begins
Stage performance comes with lots of discipline and sincerity towards the music that we learn. It requires a calm and focused mind to decide on what to perform and how to go about it. This calmness and focus only comes with time. Hence, we wait till our students gain this focus and discipline through their ongoing music classes and once they complete 9 classes at least in the Intermediate level of their course, they become eligible to participate in Showcase.

Auditions – The First Step to Stardom
Students have to first record 2 videos and upload them on YouTube as an ‘unlisted type’ post which shares the links of the video on a simple Google form.
The most important factor before recording the videos is that students need to consider which song they are going to sing. Your song selection matters the most. Generally, students tend to select complex songs to impress the judges, and that’s what makes them sound weak/inaccurate in their videos.
Singing simple melodies with passion and emotion is what the need of the hour always is. “First get selected and then experiment” is the mantra for passing any musical auditions.
The best advice in this regard can be taken from the teachers, as they know what exactly the students are capable of. Once this step is successfully crossed, then comes the main challenge of what to perform for Showcase.
The answer is simple, again the melody which is not much complicated, and the one which you enjoy the most needs to be selected.
Students work with qualified vocal coaches to understand how to select songs, how to prepare for the performance, the intricate detailing of the songs, scale selection, the expressions and most importantly, how one can enjoy his/her performance.
This is where the students start their real journey into understanding the path towards the likes of a performance in front of a live audience.
Preparing for the Spotlight
Once the students have been selected, they are made to perform in front of a LIVE audience that interacts with them via a LIVE chat which helps them build up their courage. Our Guruji Ananth Vaidyanathan cordially listens and comments on the student’s performance while giving them extraordinary voice science-based tips, and technical know-how about various musical concepts post the performances.
This is an extremely enriching experience and the students are truly happy to hear Ananthji and take away some valuable experience which can be utilised to improvise their next performances.
Every performance teaches students different things where they can start improving themselves on various skills and pointers.

After the Showcase Performance, students feel confident about their learning in the classes and strive to make themselves better. As Showcase leads to Artium Superstar, the further process becomes more valuable and important for the students to do well.
