Chitrambari is melakarta #66 of 72 - raga 6 of the Rudra chakra. Its scale takes chatussruti rishabha (R₂), antara gandhara (G₃), prati madhyama (M₂), shatsruti dhaivata (D₃), and kakali nishada (N₃), with Sa and Pa fixed as always. As a sampoorna parent scale it uses all seven swaras in strict order, both ways.
